The Dead Sea is Dying: ALLATRA Offers a Solution


 The Dead Sea is a unique ecosystem that is rapidly disappearing. The water level in the Dead Sea is dropping by 1 meter every year.

The cause of this disaster is a water shortage due to the diversion of the Jordan River and its tributaries for domestic and industrial needs of neighboring countries. Because of this, the Dead Sea waters are not replenished.

Also, due to the drying up of the Dead Sea, sinkholes are forming in the receding water, where underground salt deposits remain. These places collapse into huge chasms, or are washed away by groundwater. Some of these sinkholes are gigantic: about 100 meters in diameter and 50 meters deep!!! Already, there are over 5500 such sinkholes along the shores of the Dead Sea. And considering that there were none 40 years ago, it is clear that the trend is bleak...

ALLATRA International Public Movement has brought together the best scientists and specialists in the field of climate to develop a solution to restore the ocean.

On May 11, 2024, at the Summit in Prague, ALLATRA volunteers presented the concept of using Atmospheric water generators (AWGs).

The use of AWGs will lead to a decrease in extreme weather events, the restoration of our planet's water environment, and consequently biodiversity in the ocean, improvement of the thermal conductivity of the atmosphere, improvement of water quality. And also, very importantly, there will never be people on the planet who will lack clean drinking water.

Naturally, the technology of Atmospheric water generators (AWGs) will also solve the issue of restoring the Dead Sea.

ALLATRA volunteers are confident that with the help of AWGs and other technologies, it is possible to change the course of the climate crisis and create a sustainable future for all.

Restoring the ocean's heat exchange function for a sustainable future
